Gref, Restoration and Welcoming The New Year

Hi everyone and thank you for stopping by. I know it has been a while since I have blogged and so I thought I would begin the new year off with sharing a little from my heart and letting you know what I have been up to these last few months. Let me start by saying thank you to all those who have stood by me. Encouraging me, keeping me lifted up in prayer and sharing your stories and your amazing art with me.  You all have been that sweet ray of sunshine that I needed during a very difficult time.

I thought I was doing good by the time fall came around however, I guess grief has a way of catching up with even the strongest. You think you have a grip on things and BAM out of nowhere it sneaks in and crushes your soul until there feels as if you haven’t the air to take even the smallest of breaths.
But a new year has come and while saying goodbye to the old is exciting it does bring about some feelings of fear.  Fear of forgetting so many important moments, fear of what others might think of you while you are attempting and even struggling to move on rather than grieving. But, I am grieving, hurting and feeling that empty place in my heart. Grief knows no boundaries and while we must move on it will always remain hidden and will pop up and grab your heart at the most inconspicuous times. Yes, grief will always be there, but having been loved and knowing love will make it bearable. Will, allow a healing heart to move on never forgetting the past and being content in knowing our loved ones are always with us.

This year is a year of restoration and moving forward, saying hello to and embracing the new year and getting excited about new roads to be traveled. Yes, the road may be rocky at times but I will embrace that as well. My wish for you this 2016 is to do the same, and may the new year find you loving more, creating more, being that sweet ray of sunshine for others in need and standing strong in whatever your new journey brings!!
